The GloHealth Irish Schools Combined Events Championships were held in the AIT International Arena on Saturday 7th November. Both Anne Corcoran, Ursuline Waterford & Daniel Ryan, Thurles CBS produced excellent performances to take gold in the Inter Girls & Inter Boys competitions. Corcoran improved on her silver place finish in the Munster Schools Championships to take gold with 3500 points with Ryan defending his Irish Schools title to win with 3785 points & set a new Irish Schools Record. Jake Vermeer, Comeragh College & Sean Mockler, Thurles CBS also competed very well to finish in 4th & 5th place in the Junior Boys competition on 2952 points & 2835 points. Corcoran, Ryan & Vermeer will now take their places on the Irish team bound for Glasgow & the Schools International on Saturday 12th December & we wish them all the very best of luck.
